The economic and political crisis gives President Alberto Fernández no respite, who had to transfer all the power of his administration to the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Sergio Massa, who will lead a new Superministry of Economy, Production, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries.
The Argentine president received the resignation of his trusted men, the Secretary of Strategic Affairs Gustavo Beliz, the Minister of Production Daniel Scioli, who will return as ambassador to Brazil, the Minister of Agriculture Julián Domínguez and the recently assumed Minister of Economy, Silvina Batakis, who will take charge of Banco Nación.
The political analyst, Andrés Malamud, pointed out that these changes are a consequence of the bid for power in Peronism and especially with Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.
“The question is that the balance is determined by who leads, at this moment the majority faction of Peronism, which is Kirchnerism, does not lead or as they say, does not have the pen. So, one thinks that Cristina has the power. She has the power to damage, humiliate, veto… but it does not have the power to initiate a public policy. So we have that tie. That toxic balance, in which the President does not move and the Vice President stops him. An immobile President and another who it does not let him advance. Then who does what has to be done in Argentina, “said Malamud.
In the midst of hours of maximum political tension, the former president and opposition leader Mauricio Macri reappeared, who was blunt in saying that this government has no direction.
“These changes do not change anything, because they are all part of the same government. A government that has lost track of where it is standing and has lost its way and is unfortunately immobilized. Today there are prices of 12 different dollars in Argentina and there are no dollars , this tells you everything,” Macri said.
Antonio Aracre, president of Syngenta Latin America, one of the most important agricultural companies on a continental level, stressed that it is necessary for the Government to improve its communication with society.
“Politics must order where the Argentine economy is headed. And the other big challenge is that of inflation, which drains purchasing power. I believe that the single word that calms the markets and reduces anxiety will be very positive”, said Aracre.
However, President Alberto Fernández did not lower the tone of his statements and accused different sectors of the economy of being speculators that harm the country.
“Those who continue to provoke individualism. Those who continue to believe in meritocracy. Those who keep saying this is my chance to win and I have the right to win whatever I want, even if the rest suffer, are the ones who speculate, they are the ones who manipulate supermarket prices, they are the ones who promote inflation by making people feel people that the currency is going to devalue. They are the ones who wait for the moment when Argentina weakens, devalues itself”.
The Governors asked the president for “reaction” and Kirchnerism continues to press with more changes in the Government.
