The workshop “Development of capacities to promote investments in the drinking water and sanitation sector with a circular economy approach” took place at the Mapocho-Trebal Sewage Treatment Plant, of Aguas Andinas, in Santiago de Chile in a hybrid format ( face-to-face and virtual), on Tuesday, January 31, 2023. The workshop was sponsored by the projects “Potable Water, Sanitation and Renewable Energies in El Salvador, Mexico and Panama” (UNPDF) and “Transformative reactivation: Overcoming the consequences of the pandemic of COVID-19” (GIZ). The event generated a space to share progress and exchange best practices. The workshop was organized in conjunction with the Regional Water Dialogues in Latin America and the Caribbean, a regional preparatory event for the 2023 UN Water Conference. The objective of this event was to raise the training needs of the invited countries (Mexico, Panama and El Salvador) to promote investment in the drinking water and sanitation sector under a circular economy approach.
