- Exchange experiences and lessons learned for the fulfillment of the same SDGs

The sessions of the Regional Water Dialogues 2023 are oriented based on the thematic lines that will be carried out in the United Nations Water Conference 2023. In this way, the structure is similar to the topics that the Water Conference promotes, such as water and climate; water and sustainable development; water, energy and food.
Day 1, Wednesday, January 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.: High Level Session
Format: face-to-face and virtual
Right from the inauguration, along with providing the context for the Dialogues, the focus will be on the development of commitments in the region for the 2023 Water Conference. Following this, a panel on Water and Climate will be held, where the challenges of the region with a focus on the Caribbean and its commitments in terms of climate, resilience, disaster risks and the environment.
A subsequent panel on Water and Sustainable Development will explore advances in governance aspects and integrated water resource management in the region, as well as discuss challenges related to water financing.
The first day will end with a regional statement for the 2023 UN Water Conference, in which we hope to have the agreements and main conclusions of the High Level Session.
Day 2, Thursday, January 19 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.: Technical Session
Format: face-to-face and virtual
On the second day and to provide relevance to regional integration in water matters, a special session will be held with the official launch of the Network and Observatory for Water Sustainability (ROSA). This space seeks to strengthen the capacity of countries to design, implement, monitor and evaluate improved water policies that address multidimensional water problems. The project is expected to provide a space for active discussion, interaction and promotion of region-specific solutions to water management challenges.
Following this, a space will be included to present initiatives that contribute to the acceleration of SDG 6, whether from the public, academic, private spheres, international organizations or NGOs. Specifically, a brainstorming panel will be held with the investigations, actions and/or solutions that are being carried out in the Region, based on the pillars of the Global Acceleration Framework for SDG 6: financing, data and information, capacity building, innovation and governance. Here, there will be the participation of the regional group of experts in water resources of the region.
The day closes with a special panel on Water Assessment for better Decision Making. This has been developed in collaboration with Deltares and the government of the Netherlands, current co-organizers of the United Nations Water Conference 2023. With this, it will conclude with the definition of a Water Action Agenda for the region.
Day 3, Friday, January 20 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.: Practical Session
Exclusive face-to-face format
On the last day, a practical session will be held, which seeks to explore, on the ground, the interrelationships between water, energy and food/environment in terms of the potential it offers for the achievement of the sustainable development commitments of the 2030 Agenda. In this way, a visit will be made to the Casablanca Valley, in the central Chilean zone, where a project that links the water, energy, food and environment sectors will be known, to then visit, have lunch and give the closing of the event, in a vineyard

The agreements and commitments obtained throughout the Regional Dialogues on Water in Latin America and the Caribbean will be translated into inputs for the United Nations Water Conference, which will be held in March 2023 in New York City. Here, all member states and United Nations agencies will be invited to report on the results achieved. In this way, the event is conceived as a platform for dialogue, which encourages the exchange of information, knowledge and experiences of the countries of the region, with actions and commitments to advance towards the achievement of SDG 6.
