ECLAC launches its Economic Survey of Latin America and the Caribbean 2022

Next Tuesday, August 23, ECLAC will announce its Economic Survey of Latin America and the Caribbean, 2022: investment dynamics and challenges to drive a sustainable and inclusive recoveryone of the institution’s main annual economic reports, in which it takes stock of the region’s economies in recent months and updates its growth estimates for each of the countries this year.

The document will be presented at a hybrid press conference (face-to-face and virtual) at the agency’s headquarters in Santiago, Chile. The report, published periodically by the United Nations regional commission since 1948, summarizes the performance of the regional economy in 2021 and analyzes its evolution for 2022.

In its 74th edition, it will take a special look at the role of investment for a sustainable and inclusive recovery.
