ECLAC and ParlAmericas launch joint report on inclusive migration governance

The meeting, which brings together parliamentarians, specialists and representatives of international organizations and civil society from the Americas and the Caribbean, marks the occasion of the 8th Meeting of the ParlAmericas Parliamentary Network on Climate Change and Sustainability, the 16th Meeting of the Parliamentary Network for Gender Equality of ParlAmericas, and the IX meeting of the Interparliamentary Commission on Women’s Law and Gender Equality of FOPREL.
The event offers a space to analyze recent migration trends in the region from various angles, to explore the role of parliaments in adopting comprehensive and inclusive approaches to address the challenges and opportunities related to migration in the hemisphere.

Taking into account the work that CELADE leads on issues related to international migration in Latin America and the Caribbean, the Director of CELADE will also participate as a panelist in the session “The economic dimensions of migration: opportunities for growth” to be held on October 24.
