EA SPORTS FC 24: Does the new soccer game include teams from Liga MX?

EA SPORTS FC 24 was shown this morning in all its glory with an exciting trailer that revealed its release date. As this installment marks the beginning of a new era for the EA Sports soccer franchise, many are hopeful that Liga MX will return to the series after its absence in FIFA 23 but will that happen?

According to Electronic Arts, EA SPORTS FC 24 it will have the official license of 30 leagues, 700 teams and more than 19,000 soccer players, but sadly none of them is Liga MX. Of course, it is possible that some players in the league appear as part of their national teams.

So, just like FIFA 23, EA SPORTS FC 24 will be left without teams like América, Pumas, Cruz Azul, Chivas, Pachuca, Atlas, Toluca, Tigres, Santos Laguna, Monterrey, among others. Therefore, the maximum circuit of Mexican soccer will not appear as competition in any of its game modes such as Career or Quick Game.

Why won’t EA SPORTS FC 24 have Liga MX?

If Liga MX was part of FIFA for years, why won’t you be present at EA SPORTS FC 24? With this, the exclusivity that the competition had with Electronic Arts since 2005 was broken.

It is unknown how long the exclusivity agreement between Liga MX and Konami will be in force. That said, it seems unlikely that soon this competition in any installment of EA SPORTS FC.

“We are proud to have Liga BBVA MX as a partner and the opportunity to bring our fans in Mexico and the United States closer to their favorite clubs through eFootball”, said Yuta Kose, president of Konami Digital Entertainment Inc when the agreement with Liga MX was announced. “As partners, we will work in collaboration with the league to bring the best to our respective audiences. From the level of in-game polish and representation of the league with official kits and crests to the way fans will engage on and off the digital pitch, our goal is a fully immersive experience for all generations to enjoy.” .
