Oct. 10 (Portaltic/EP) –

Electronic Arts has announced ea app, the new client for Windows computers which will replace Origin, with which it launches a visual design and offers a faster gaming experience, with automatic downloads and updates in the background.

EA Origin has been Electronic Arts’ PC game client for a decade, but following plans the company already announced in 2020, a new app will take its place soon, having passed open beta.

EA app is EA’s “next generation gaming platform for PC” in that it offers “a faster, more reliable and optimized gaming experience“, as the company states in its official blog.

This client arrives with a revamped design, which makes it easy to search and discover games. It also offers automatic game downloads and updates in the background, to streamline the experience.

Users will have a custom unique ID and linking your EA Account to other platforms will allow you to create friend lists on Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation.

From EA they indicate that the transition from Origin to EA app will be “as simple as possible” and that “soon” they will begin to notify users to change from one client to another.
