According to various reports, Arc System Works, the studio responsible for the successful fighting game IP Guilty Gear and also of Dragon Ball FighterZis developing a new installment of the legendary franchise Double DragonThe announcement was made in the recent edition of the Japanese magazine Famitsuwhere the studio confirmed that they are working on the franchise to give it a modern touch without breaking the relationship with its roots, after all it is currently a niche IP.

Regarding this, Arc System Works notes: “The new game faithfully reproduces the excitement of old-school side-scrolling action titles, with updated controls and difficulty settings for the modern era, and utilizes Arc System Works’ fighting game development experience. Jimmy Lee, Billy Lee, Roper, Abobo and more will appear in elegant 3D.”
