BioWare has shared with PC players interested in Dragon Age: The Veilguard the game requirements accompanied by the expected performance based on the hardware, something that is always appreciated. The development team has also revealed that the title will arrive without Denuvo, which implies that there will be no preload, and detailed the improvements that will be applied if playing on a PS5 Pro. Additionally, BioWare reports that the preload is now available on Xbox Series and will go live on PS5 on October 29.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard PC requirements are very comprehensive, covering various combinations of resolution and frames per second, from 1080p at 30 FPS to 4K and 60 FPS without ray tracing. If ray tracing is activated, the requirements depend on the intensity of the game’s use of this type of rendering. In all cases, 100 GB must be prepared for installation. The bottom line is that few people will be left without playing Dragon Age: The Veilguard, which will also be released as a verified game for the Steam Deck. In the following screenshot you have all the requirements of the title for PC.

Regarding the consoles, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S players will be able to choose between Fidelity and Performance mode, which aim to reach 30 and 60 FPS, respectively. On PS5 Pro these same modes will present improvements in both resolution and visual settings. Additionally, on PS5 Pro the game uses AI-based PSSR upscaling and enables ray tracing ambient occlusion in Performance mode, which on the original PlayStation 5 is only available in Fidelity mode.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is scheduled for release on October 31 on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam. The title does not have any type of early access, so all players will begin their journey through the lands of Thedas on the same day and time.
