Dozens injured by shelling at an ammunition depot in New Kakhovka, Ukraine

The authorities of the Ukrainian city of Nueva Kajovka have confirmed this Monday dozens of people injured by the bombings in an ammunition depot.

The victims have been admitted to the city hospital and the military hospital. There were also deaths, as reported to the TASS news agency by the head of the military administration of the Kajovka district in the Kherson region, Vladimir Leontiev, although without detailing how many.

“Unfortunately, there are victims, a large number of injured, dozens of people have been left homeless,” he stressed, adding that the city has been damaged.


Leontiev has stressed that the city authorities intend to start assessing the damage on Tuesday.

On the other hand, in the Ukrainian city of Mikolaiv, the mayor has urged the population not to leave their shelters because “there are powerful explosions”, as reported by the UNIAN news agency.
