Those responsible for video game dota 2 they have permanently banned over 40,000 players for using unauthorized ‘software’ to obtain advantages over other players.
The more than 40,000 accounts affected by the blockade used a third-party program “for weeks” to access internal information of the Dota client, which is not available to players in a normal game.
Precisely with such information obtained “an unfair advantage“, which has led Valve to permanently remove offenders from the list of active players, as they report it’s a statement.
The company has explained that to identify cheaters they created a patch that supposedly gave access to private information in the Dota client. Also that they have already fixed the “underlying issues” that allowed these traps to be carried out.
“The fight against cheaters and cheat programmers is usually done covertly, but we wanted to bring this case to light to make our position clear: If you are using any application that reads data from the Dota client when you are playing a game, your account may be blocked from playing Dota permanently“Valve said.
