The dollar in Colombia broke above the $4,700 level on Tuesday and started the week with a strong rise, one day after the Labor Day holiday, in which there were no official foreign currency quotes in the local market.
According to the Colombian Stock Exchange, the US currency closed at an average price of $4,712, that is, it rose 43 pesos against the TRM of the day, which was $4,669.
For his part, the minimum price is located at $4,690 and the maximum reaches $4,735.
The general fear of the market due to the replacement of several ministers of the Petro Government, especially due to the uncertainty about the departure of José Antonio Ocampo from the Ministry of Finance, led last week to the devaluation of the Colombian peso against the dollar, a trend that is still maintained .
