Dollar cuts gains and trades below $4,100 this Wednesday

The Colombian peso strengthened on Wednesday, cutting the gains made by the dollar in recent days, pending the publication of the minutes of the latest meeting of the United States Federal Reserve (Fed), in which the organization decided to keep interest rates unchanged.

According to the Colombian Stock Exchange, The US currency is quoted at an average price of $4,092, that is, it falls 28 pesos compared to the Representative Market Rate (TRM) which is $4,130.

The dollar’s decline is also due to the latest figures in the United States for the services sector, which contracted in June after advancing in May, according to the PMI index prepared by the Institute for Supply Management (ISM), which fell from 53.8 points previously to 48.8 points this month.

In other markets, The euro also strengthened against the dollar, exceeding 1.08 dollars.
