Metro Línea 1, the concessionaire in charge of the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the First Line of the Bogotá Metro opens the second phase of the “O&M Young Talents” call, an initiative designed to train and employ 40 professional engineers in metro-railway systems.

This call is aimed at professionals in engineering, or related careers, recent graduates or with up to two years of experience, who must go through English tests, due diligence, professional knowledge exam, interviews, personality test, among others. In addition, the academic average will be taken into account, and as an essential requirement, Candidates must have a B2 level of English.

The selected young people will be able to deepen their knowledge in five key areas: transport control and service, civil works and electrical installation, rolling stock and signaling, telecommunications and equipment maintenance.

The training program will be carried out in the Railway Systems Institute in Xi’an City, China, where those selected will receive theoretical and practical professional immersion training directly with the Xi’an Metro company. Besides, All transportation and travel expenses will be covered by Metro Line 1.

This professional experience will allow engineers to acquire cutting-edge technical and technological knowledge, in addition to understanding the importance and impact of metro rail systems on urban mobility, facing the operation and maintenance stage of the First Metro Line of Bogotá , all of the above under a direct employment contract with the dealer.
