3 Jul. (Portaltic/EP) –
Electric mountain bike (eMTB) manufacturer Amflow, in collaboration with DJI, has launched the new Amflow PL, a bike with a weight of 19.2 kg and a maximum power of 850 W that is powered by Avinox Drive Systemdeveloped by the drone company.
The company has unveiled both new products at the Eurobike 2024 mobility fair, which began this Wednesday in Frankfurt (Germany) and in which companies such as the technology company Acer have also participated.
DJI’s new Amflow PL eMTB is an ultra-lightweight bike 19.2 kg, a maximum power of 850 W and a carbon fiber frame that weighs just 2.27 kg, designed and manufactured “to offer the ultimate experience,” according to the manufacturer.
In its design, this bicycle has a frame structure compatible with wheels 27.5″ and 29″ rears. That way, whether you’re looking for smoother pedaling with larger wheels or agility with smaller wheels, a simple flip adjustment will allow you to ride either size without altering the frame’s geometric center of gravity.
The bike also has a screen Touch OLED a two-inch color display built into this panel, with 800 nits of peak brightness and 326 ppi. It can also be adjusted from a remote control activated via Bluetooth with the mobile phone.
It also features a four-bar mechanism, which reduces pedal kickback while improving pedaling efficiency. It also features a rear shock absorberdeveloped in collaboration with FOX, which offers a sensitive response to the initial impact to filter out mild vibrations.
The brand also said that this eMTB offers bottom-out assistance to prevent bottoming out during high-speed continuous impacts or steep descents, so that users can ride easily on unpaved terrain.
AVINOX DRIVE SYSTEM
Amflow PL debuts DJI’s new Avinox Drive System, intended to “redefine the experience of riding electric mountain bikes” and offering Two lightweight battery options and high energy density, 600 Wh and 800 Wh.
This drive unit weighs 2.52 kg and delivers a torque of 105 Nm. With this driving force, riders have the power they need to conquer the most demanding terrain based on four standard assistance modes: Auto, Eco, Trail and Turbo.
The system, which is placed at the center of the Amflow PL, also features DJI’s intelligent assistance algorithm that leverages multi-sensor fusion to automatically and continuously adjust assistance based on pedaling resistance.
It also features a dedicated Auto mode, which adapts assistance in real time based on terrain conditions and riding position. Once activated, it allows users to tackle a wide variety of terrains and slopes without having to change modes.
For the most demanding tours, you can activate the Boost mode to instantly receive 120 Nm of torque and 1000 W high-energy assistance, a power thanks to which you can climb steep slopes with ease.
On the other hand, it has the Walk mode, which features intelligent walking assistance to easily advance uphill, as well as the automatic hold function to avoid rolling back on slopes.
On the other hand, the Start assist on slopes serves to give cyclists additional torque when starting climbs and also allows gear shifting while stopped for a smooth and intuitive experience.
The firm has finally commented that Amflow PL will arrive in the fourth quarter of 2024 through distributors in Germany, the United Kingdom and Australia, among other countries. The Avinox Drive system will also be available at that time.
