Discord has started rolling out voice chat integration in the latest beta for the next-gen console from Sony, PlayStation 5 (PS5)which some platform testers can already access.
At the end of last July, Microsoft announced that the latest Xbox update integrated Discord Voicea feature that would allow Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One gamers to connect with their friends and Discord communities using voice channels or group calls.
This option, which allows you to know during the game who is on the call and speaking, adjust the sound or switch between voice and xbox chatinitially came to the Xbox Insider program, and then spread to other players.
Recently several users of Reddit Y Twitter have shared screenshots of a new option included in the app’s interface that allows them to ‘Join Voice on PlayStation’, a functionality that appears below ‘Join Xbox’ in the latest Discord beta.
Once this button is pressed, Discord requires players to add the PlayStation account, in order to show their identifier and the games they are playing. Also, it will redirect to Sony accounts section through an external link.
According to the published captures, this option It will only come to Sony’s next-gen console, PS5, and not to the immediately previous version PlayStation 4 (PS4). At the moment, neither Sony nor Discord have confirmed the validity of this functionality.
