A while ago, Discord had increased the weight limit for files through a lower cost Nitro subscription. which, although it did not have the advantages of the full Nitro subscription, also came at a reduced price. However, it seems that this has not convinced the users, Well, the company has finally chosen to increase the file size limit to 25MB in a general way.
This is certainly a welcome change. Well, there are many photos and even high-resolution screenshots that can exceed 8MB in weight.especially with the high resolutions that smartphones today manage to integrate on the back.
As we see even in the responses to the tweet announcing this change, the full Nitro plan would allow us to send up to 500MB in any type of file, something that with the reach that Discord has, It is not limited only to images, but to 3D models or any other type of digital data.
It is hoped that we can already enjoy the new limit in our Discord accounts, but otherwise, this may be enabled with an app update.
