On instructions from the office of the 79th Prosecutor’s Office, attached to the Specialized Directorate against Corruption of the Attorney General’s Office, the director of the National Unit for Risk and Disaster Management (UNGRD), Carlos Andrés Carillo Arenas, attended this Tuesday to a procedure in which he will deliver information about cases of corruption in the entity he directs.

According to a statement from the UNGRD, it is a summons in which the prosecuting body seeks information necessary to clarify the facts of alleged irregularities and to identify those responsible in the investigation being carried out against Olmedo López and Sneyder Pinilla, who took advantage of a principle of opportunity.

“The Unit will make available to the Prosecutor’s Office all the information that rests in the entity on the contracts awarded, allegedly, irregularly during the management of Olmedo López and previous administrations,” said Carrillo at the entrance to the Prosecutor’s Office bunker where the summons is issued.
