The operator DIGI has launched a interesting offer for which they offer a symmetrical FTTH fiber connection of 500 Mbps for only 15 euros per month. It is one of the cheapest prices at which we can find an Internet connection of this speed, and it even exceeds offers from other operators for 200 or 300 Mbps by a wide margin.
The “trick” is that It is only valid for homes that are reached by DIGI’s own network, leaving out the majority of homes where the operator offers fiber service through the Movistar network. In those cases, the prices are much higher, with 25 euros per month for a speed of 300 Mbps as the cheapest price.
Additionally, the operator has launched different combined plans that add mobile lines, from the 20 euros that it costs to have 500 Mbps fiber together with a data line and unlimited calls, to the 17 euros that fiber costs together with 3 GB of data and 100 minutes of calls to standard rate numbers.
Digi’s move comes at a time when the large operators are beginning to pass on the rise in CPI and other costs to customers, making Internet connection even more expensive, so it is clear that Digi wants to take advantage of the moment to get a larger base of customers migrating from these operators.
Digi uses CG-NAT by default in its connections, in case you want to use an Internet connection with your own IP, you will have to pay 1 euro more per month.
