The authorities of the Gaza Strip, controlled by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), have estimated this Wednesday at more than 35,200 Palestinians killed due to the offensive launched by the Israeli Army after the attacks carried out on October 7 by the Islamist group and other Palestinian militias.

The Gaza Ministry of Health has highlighted in a statement on its Telegram account that “the toll of Israeli aggression has increased to 35,233 martyrs and 79,141 wounded since October 7”, before highlighting that the Israeli Army committed five “massacres”. “during the last 24 hours, with a balance of 60 dead and 80 injured.

In this sense, he has pointed out that an unspecified number of victims remain “under the rubble” and “lying on the roads”, without the emergency teams having been able to recover these bodies and in the face of warnings about the risk of disease outbreaks derived from of this situation.

At the beginning of May, the Civil Defense of Gaza put the number missing at around 10,000 since the start of the offensive, so it is feared that the death toll is much higher, amid the new intensification of the Israeli offensive against northern Gaza. and the increase in bombings and raids in Rafá, on the border with Egypt.
