More than 36,600 people have died in the Gaza Strip due to actions linked to the military offensive launched by Israel in response to the Hamas attacks, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health.
In its report this Thursday, the Ministry, linked to Hamas, raises the provisional death toll to 36,654, after confirming another 68 in the last 24 hours. In addition, more than 83,300 people have been injured.
The Gaza Government has also reported that some 25,000 Palestinians need to leave the Strip to receive treatment, since only 4,900 were able to cross into Egypt when the Rafah border crossing was still open.
The control of said crossing by Israel, which expanded its offensive to Rafá in May, has meant that no wounded or sick have been able to leave the Strip, which according to the Gazan authorities could put the lives of “thousands” of people at risk. people.
