Death toll in Lebanon due to Israeli attacks rises to more than 3,000

Lebanese health authorities have updated more than 3,000 fatalities from the attacks carried out by the Israeli Army in the last year, especially since mid-September, when they redoubled their offensive against the Shiite militia party Hezbollah.

Specifically, the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health has specified on its social networks that there are 3,002 dead and another 13,492 injured. In the last 24 hours alone, attacks by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have left another 16 dead and 90 injured.

The areas most affected by these attacks are the Southern governorate, which has thirteen dead and 42 injured; Nabatiye, where another three people have died and 40 more have been injured; the governorate of Becá, where there are six other wounded; and the governorate of Baalbek, with two more wounded.

Lebanese authorities have detailed that some 2,170 of the dead and more than 10,500 of the injured are men. Likewise, there are about 590 women dead and more than 2,400 injured. On the other hand, about 185 of the dead are minors, as well as more than 1,200 of the injured.

Regarding the health sector, Lebanon has regretted that 178 health workers have died and another 306 have been injured. In addition, more than 240 ambulances have been hit by Israeli attacks, while more than 120 health centers have been damaged.

Lebanon’s Prime Minister Nayib Mikati stated last week that the “extension” of Israel’s bombing demonstrates “its rejection of all efforts made to achieve a ceasefire,” after resuming attacks on Beirut almost a week later. of the last ones.
