Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster was announced as a remaster, but Capcom itself acknowledges that it resembles a remakeThis is because the title features a complete graphic renovation that is run by RE Engine, the same technology that has given life to the latest Resident Evil (including the remakes) or the upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds. The difference in every element, including characters, environments, material textures, facial expressions, and blood are all glaring compared to the original Dead Rising from 2006.
In addition to improved graphics, the game now reaches 4K resolution and 60 frames per second. Capcom has also taken advantage of this remaster to introduce “important improvements” to enhance the gaming experience, including autosave, updated controls to make controlling Frank more intuitive, and an improved interface. The NPCs that act as survivors have also improved their behavior. In addition, the title will be fully dubbed in multiple languages, including Spanish from Spain and Latin America.
All of the changes and improvements haven’t affected the game’s concept or its original direction, so in this sense Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster will offer the same experience as before. “Our main goal was to make sure that current players feel the same impact they felt when they first played the original game,” says Capcom. The company hopes that players will find a title that is easier to play thanks to the improvements and that this will allow it to reach a new audience that is unfamiliar with the series.
Those who pre-order Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster will receive a pack with costumes for Frank, including a Chuck Greene costume from Dead Rising 2. The most enthusiastic can get the Digital Deluxe edition, which for 59.99 euros adds more cosmetic content in the form of costumes inspired by characters from other Capcom series such as Resident Evil and Mega Man.
