The next update for Dead Cells doesn’t have a release date yet, but we do know that it will be available in the summer and its content will include adjustments to weapons and items and an overhaul of the legendary system to make it more intuitive and interesting. This update will also add a new skin for the protagonist’s head and panchaku, a weapon consisting of two paellas tied by the handles that deals critical damage to enemies who are looking at the character. Panchaku appears in the animated trailer for The Bad Seed .
In Fall 2022, Dead Cells will add a Boss Rush area where players can take on bosses one after another with unlockable items as they go. There will be different Boss Rush modes to go beyond the classic challenge and it is hoped to add a leaderboard to introduce a competitive element. A new update will be distributed before Christmas arrives, but for now its content is a secret, so you will have to be patient to discover what it includes.
Motion Twin says that the studio is “reasonably confident” that it can deliver the content indicated in the roadmap on schedule, but a lot can happen throughout the development of a game, so nothing is set in stone. .
Looking ahead to 2023, Motion Twin advances that they will not slow down, but rather increase it. The study ensures that next year will be, “by far, our biggest year since the launch” of version 1.0. In addition, the French team maintains that the game is in the middle of its life cycle, so it is time to prepare for more content. At the end of 2021 Dead Cells accumulated more than 6 million units sold. The title, which has received only praise from critics, is available on consoles, PC and mobile devices.
