For Alberto, dance is not only a form of expression, but a lifestyle. For as long as he can remember, he has been dedicated to dance. This 40-year-old Venezuelan artist began learning dance at the age of six, and at 16 he was already dancing professionally.
Now, through the Albert Studio Dance School, he opens doors to young talents as an instructor and mentor, fostering a culture of inclusion and empowerment within Punta Cana’s vibrant dance community. He teaches classical and modern dance, as well as makeup and design. sustainable fashion.
Opportunities for young people
“Punta Cana is a place full of talented dancers,” says Alberto, highlighting the importance of providing opportunities to young artists. “My mission? Allow these young artists to shape their own future. When the music stops, you should be ready to dance to your own beat.”
Alberto and his students represent the spirit of unity and collaboration through a mix of Venezuelan and Dominican traditions. “The exchange of ideas and experiences between young dancers of different nationalities is very enriching,” shares Alberto while gently correcting his students’ postures. “In their shared passion, they find common ground, bridging boundaries with every turn.”
Music, a great tool for integration
In Alberto’s hands, dance becomes a catalyst for social change. “Music knows no borders and is a great integration tool. Through art and dance we can break down barriers and create a more inclusive future. Every step of a dancer carries with it the dreams of migrants everywhere,” he reflects.
“Dance runs through my veins. With each movement, I am transported to another planet, another world and another atmosphere,” says Alberto. “The beauty of dance is in its ability to allow the exchange of cultures and ideas. In our region, so rich and diverse, each step means unity in diversity.”
