26 Apr. (EUROPE PRESS) –

The Czech Republic’s Foreign Minister, Jan Lipavsky, on Wednesday called his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov, a “clown”, after his criticism of Czech President Petr Pavel’s statements in an interview.

“The clown Lavrov’s statements to our President Pavel’s speech are laughable. Russia is a terrorist state and its leadership must be before an international court,” Lipavsky wrote on his Twitter profile.

In an interview on Tuesday for the American newspaper ‘Politico’, the Czech president stated that the Russian invasion of Ukraine is benefiting China, a country that also would not be really interested in ending the war soon. Some words that for Lavrov are not characteristic of a “normal political representative”.
