The Spanish team ChaoticBrain Studio has announced that Neon Blood, a neo-noir cyberpunk RPG with a 2.5D aesthetic, will go on sale on November 26 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. The title will also have a physical edition for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch that will hit stores on the same date under the Meridiem label. This edition accompanies the game with a metallic textured sleeve, an art book, a city guide and the downloadable soundtrack.

The action of Neon Blood takes place in 2053 after the Third World War, when humanity has been reduced to a macropolis called Viridis that is made up of two cities, the luxurious Bright City and the dystopian Blind City. Players take on the role of Axel McCoin, an idealistic Blind City detective who, after rebelling against the injustices caused by social separation, “is about to become the key player in unmasking an entire plot of power and corruption that devastates the city.” unstable peace of Viridis”.

Axel McCoin will soon be persecuted by the system and during his adventure he will have the help of a group made up of Varya Gagarin, Silver Rayner, and Basilio Tastiera. Together they will fight to defeat the powerful Emerlad Ruby, a rich girl who is determined to maintain the system that benefits her, and achieve real equality between Blind City and Bright City.

The exploration of Viridis will be one of the main activities of Axel McCoin, who as he talks to its inhabitants will discover how the city works and the root of its inequality. Neon Blood promises to offer a detailed environment with locations that can be freely explored. When words are not enough Axel McCoin will enter battle with his allies. When this happens, the title will deploy a turn-based combat system based on the “great games of the JRPG genre.” In both exploration and combat, Neon Blood will show an aesthetic that mixes 2D and 3D combined with a retro style of pixel art hand drawn and animated.
