The event will take place between January 23 and 27, 2023 at the Los Leones Campus of the San Sebastián University.
Between January 23 and 27, the Seventh Summer School in Cellular Mechanics and Biology at the Los Leones Campus of the San Sebastian University. The event, organized by the prestigious Curie Institute of Franceis Oriented to postgraduate students and postdocs from national institutions.
“The course takes place over five intensive days, in which students or postdocs must prepare scientific projects together with a French researcher and a Chilean researcher, which will be presented and applied for on the last day of the course,” explains Patricia Burgos, a researcher at the USS Center for Cell Biology and Biomedicine.
“It will be a powerful showcase for postgraduate students, and a milestone for our University”highlights Dr. Burgos.
The Curie Institute is a center for medical, biological and biophysical research and a hospital specializing in the treatment of cancer. It is located in Paris, France, and is fostering its international ties with Latin America in order to attract research talent. Today, two students from PhD in Cellular Biology and Biomedicine USS are in this institution doing an international internship with funding from ANID.
In previous years, the Curie Institute has organized Summer Schools at the University of Buenos Aires, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Universidad de Chile and Universidad Austral de Chile. Registration to participate will be open until next Saturday, January 7th.
