Various organizations, headed by the Assembly of the Cuban Resistance, released testimonial videos of citizens of the island supporting a peaceful protest.

“From Sunday to here, already more than 500 activists inside Cuba, from Pinar del Rio to the eastern provinces, from Pinar del Rio to Baracoa have called and announced that they are on strike and are calling on the Cuban population not to cooperate. with the regime under any circumstances”

The Cuban exile representatives demand the release of protesters who remain under arrest after the July 2021 protests and assure that a national strike is part of an agenda that includes a general strike on the island.

For his part, the president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz Canel, sent a virtual message this Thursday to the International Forum of Marxist Parties. According to the newspaper Granma, Díaz Canel affirmed that they are using “perverse instruments of unconventional warfare, the media intoxication laboratories, the entire campaign of disinformation, lies, double standards and hypocrisy, through social networks, with the objective of of fracturing and dividing Cuban society”
