Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday after undergoing a test, as reported by the Croatian Cabinet.
In a statement, the president’s press service has indicated that Plenkovic had symptoms of COVID-19 since Tuesday, including fever, for which he decided to undergo a test.
For the moment he must remain confined and working from home to avoid contact, although he and other members of the Cabinet have been vaccinated. “The vaccine does not completely protect against infection, but it does protect against serious forms of the disease,” says the text.
Members of the Croatian government and employees of the prime minister who have been in contact with Plenkovic in recent days will have to undergo tests and comply with the necessary security measures.
