Copilot+ is the set of Artificial Intelligence tools and experiences that Microsoft has integrated into Windows 11. Unlike the first Copilot PCs, those Copilot+ PC require a more powerful NPU to be able to execute all the functions locally.
At launch, as of today, only laptops with Snapdragon X Elite and Snapdragon X Plus processors are compatible with these technologies, and not even computers with AMD Ryzen AI 300 nor the new laptops with Intel Core Ultra 200V will be compatible for a while.
Luckily, it looks like laptops with Intel’s new processors won’t have to wait long, and In November, the Windows 11 update will arrive that will support C opilot + for the Core Ultra 200V, also known as Lunar Lake. Intel did not mention this at the presentation event for these CPUs.
Users with A processorsMD Ryzen AI 300 will not have to wait any longer and will also receive support for Copilot+ during the month of November, according to has assured Microsoft itself.
With the arrival of the version Windows 11 24H2Qualcomm will no longer have the exclusive rights to the Copilot+ PC and will open up to other processor manufacturers.
