Microsoft has launched the public preview from your AI-powered assistant Copilot, in the last update of Windows 11 Insiderswhich includes some specific functions such as taking a screenshot or summarizing a website in Edge.
The technology company introduced Copilot for Windows 11 in May, a assistant that introduces the AI directly into the operating system and that facilitates the tasks to users through a chat and different tools and functions.
Now, Microsoft has released public preview of Copilot with the latest update Windows 11 on build 23493 for Dev Channelwhich allows users to test the integrated UI experience with some of the available features.
As explained by the company in a statement on its blogWindows Copilot will appear as a bar on the right side of the screen and “will run unobstructed” alongside open application windows. In this way, the user is allowed interact with Windows Copilot” at any time that is needed”, as Microsoft has stressed.
Likewise, in this preview, the technology has indicated that users can make “a variety of questions” to Windows Copilot and, in addition, it has included some functions or actions that can request Copilot.
Between the available functions there is the option to change to dark mode, activate do not disturb mode, do screenshots and summarize websites that are open in Edge browser.
He has also pointed out that other more creative actions can be carried out such as write a story about a dog that lives on the moon or make a photo of “a serene pond of koi fish with water lilies”.
However, Microsoft has stressed that will implement “additional features in the future”, which will be incorporated into future previews.
With all this, to start using the new experiences with Copilot, users only have to click on the new button installed on the taskbar or press Windows + C. Likewise, the company has specified that Windows Copilot will use the same Microsoft account or Azure Active Directory account used to log in to Windows.
On the other hand, the technology company has also detailed that by clicking on the three-point icon located in the upper right part of the Copilot sidebar, users users will be able to send feedback on any issues that you want to notify.
Microsoft has also pointed out that Windows Copilot with Bing Chat generates contextual responses and improves the user experience in Windows. Following this line, also show responses with online recommendations that the company considers relevant through ads on Bing.
