The evolution of these fans has been varied, from those with very high power for industrial environments such as these Cooler Master Mobius that are in the difficult task of achieving quality performance while being respectful of our ears and at the same time allowing ever greater durability.
This very complex development where such varied expectations have to be met has led to a slow evolution that in the case of Cooler Master has recently gone through the magnificent SickleFlow and now through these Mobius where its axial design stands out where the blades are connected to each other in a mobile frame, a trend that GPU manufacturers have marked in their most advanced designs because it allows more static pressure if designed properly.

Almost all fans recently launched on the market seek a difficult balance between noise and rotation speed. Cooler Master drives these new fans by its latest generation of motors with “Loop Dynamic Bearing” bearing system that Cooler Master has been producing for at least 10 years. It is a very efficient submerged hydraulic bearing system that gives the fans high durability, exceeding 200,000 hours of average life. It’s the perfect complement to this design as it delivers almost 2500rpm, at least on our sample unit, with less than 40dBA of noise. A spectacular performance that balances very well close to 1800rpm, with noise below 30dBA and surprising performance.
The static pressure of this model reaches 3.6mm-H2O at maximum frequency, with a remarkable pressure also at its most optimal speed, with 2.7mm-H2O of static pressure at 1900rpm. It is one of the best fans we have tested in recent times, although somewhat below the Be Quiet! Silent Wings Pro 4 that we tested a few weeks ago.
The power consumption of this fan is 12A, 1.44W of total consumption, and it has a 5-year direct manufacturer’s warranty. In terms of dimensions, the Cooler Master Mobius 120 is 120mm in diameter with a width of 25mm, weighing 179 grams, the standard for these sizes. This fan came to us with different features than we had known in the previous Cooler Master announcement. It has a very wide frequency development, from 550 to 2500rpm (they also support complete stop mode 0 rpm and 0 dbA), with a noise that does not exceed 38dBA of noise in any of the cases.
With 5v PWM we can get 550rpm, which makes it profoundly silent in computer idle states. When we push it hard we can reach 2500rpm and almost 80CFM of airflow with a maximum static pressure of 3.6mm-H20 which is quite a figure. Even so, we have been testing its most reasonable balance point and we have found it at a high frequency, no less than 1900rpm, where we almost reached 2.8mm-H2O of static pressure, almost 65CFM of air flow and all this with a noise of just 30dBA that makes it one of the best 120mm fans that have passed through our hands.
