Among the initiatives registered is that of the team led by Ángel Daniel Mayorga, from Conalep Torreón, who seeks to address school dropout through facial recognition in schools. On the other hand, Miguel Montiel’s team created a financial app to advise users on their investments based on AI.

There are also projects that seek to care for the environment, such as that of Valeria Palacios, from Veracruz, who created a drone to collect garbage on the beaches through cameras and Artificial Intelligence. In terms of education, Amanda Jocelyn’s team, also from Veracruz, created an assistant robot for teachers that has ChatGPT integrations to answer student questions.

For the Teachers category, Conalep Sonora registered a project that helps in the detection of attention deficit disorder and hyperactivity from a technology that detects the movement of the iris.

Intel makes Conalep a hotbed of AI talent

In mid-March, Intel signed an agreement with Conalep focused on Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, whose objective, according to Cardona, is to develop technical skills in students to adapt to the digital needs of the global economy.
