Complaints against YouTube grow for showing up to 10 ads in a row without the possibility of skipping them

More and more users have expressed their disapproval of the advertisements of Youtube which, according to some, has come to include up to ten of them consecutively and without giving the option of omitting them.

Ad breaks usually appear on YouTube just before start a video on the platform, although the creator of the content also has the option of including an ad at the time it deems appropriate.

However, more and more users are turning to platforms like Twitter Y Reddit to make clear their dissatisfaction with the situation, especially in the last two months, according to the specialized portal 9to5Google.

In recent weeks, they point out that the platform’s announcements have grown in number and length. They also criticize the alleged increase in the amount of advertising that cannot be skipped by the user.

The most extreme cases recorded show clusters of up to ten consecutive announcements. None of them giving the user the option to go directly to play the video.

YouTube has not commented on this. The only allusion of the platform to this problem has taken place on Twitter. There, the account of your team has recognized before a user’s complaint the existence of the “bumper ads”.

This advertising format is characterized, according to YouTube, for showing several consecutive ads at the beginning of a video and lasting approximately six seconds. And it does not allow the user to skip them.
