Henry May, CEO of this organization, points out that they were selected under a criteria of growth, impact, income and position in the LATAM ecosystem. A very important fact, since it reflects that their work is something that is seen by different actors in the industry and that it generates positive results in the educational sector.
“Additionally, this news is very important for us because it helps us bet on a new round of investment for two million dollars that will be used to promote Edumocion in the coming months. The idea is that this recognition allows us to connect with investors for expansion, the creation of more niches and the opportunity to improve technology to reach more than 100 thousand users in the next year”, highlighted May.
This is also a recognition that the country receives, since according to HollonIQ, Colombia, with 13% of the EdTech in the region, is positioning itself as one of the great leaders in the ecosystem of startups that are creating technologies to improve learning. , above countries like Argentina (11%); Peru (7%) and Chile (5%). And only below industry giants such as Brazil (39%) and Mexico (19%).
Proof of the potential that this sector has had in LATAM is the growth in venture capital investment, which almost quintupled between 2017 and 2021, after going from 4.4 billion dollars in 2017 to 20 billion dollars last year.
