Colegio De La Salle Bogotá announced the opening of its new headquarters, located on 180th Street with Carrera Ninth, scheduled to begin administrative and academic activities at the end of January 2025.
This new infrastructure represents an advance in the educational project of the institution that began 48 years ago, inheriting the legacy of two great schools founded at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century.
The new headquarters, under the motto “New responses to new people in new situations”is designed to offer a pleasant and modern space, which fosters a comprehensive learning environment, through innovative educational methodologies, consolidating itself as a quality benchmark in private education in Colombia. This project not only improves the existing infrastructure, but also is aligned with the fundamental principles of Lasallian education.

Educational innovation and advanced methodologies
Colegio La Salle Bogotá will implement innovative pedagogical methodologies based on four pillars: interculturality and internationalization, active pedagogies, human formation in values and a focus on research and innovation. The new infrastructure will have classrooms, workshops, laboratories and flexible and collaborative spaces that facilitate interactive learning and teamwork.
The headquarters is designed to accommodate 1,100 students, with facilities that include a swimming pool, skating rink and green areas, creating a balanced and enriching environment for the educational community.
With a total of 5.6 hectares of construction and green areas, the new headquarters also represents a significant increase in student capacity, going from approximately 600 to 1,100 students.

Commitment to sustainability and community
The construction of the new headquarters was carried out following the criteria of Edge, a sustainable construction certification system. The outdoor common areas have solar lighting and LED lamps have been used inside. Additionally, the school implements the Green Seal Curriculum, a comprehensive environmental education program that promotes cultural changes in the institution.
Colegio La Salle reaffirms its social commitment by involving the local community in the development of a social and pastoral outreach program, while exploring alliances with social organizations to promote inclusion and support for low-income students.
Internationalization and global learning
The new headquarters will also allow the development of student exchange programs with institutions in USA, France and Philippinesas well as the consolidation of alliances with the Alliance Française and the exam operators of the University of Cambridge, which will enrich the educational offer of the school.
