The scene takes place in 2021 at Donald Trump’s summer residence in Bedminster, New Jersey. There the former president is heard talking to unauthorized persons about the attack plans against Iran provided by the Ministry of Defense, and in particular by the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, General Mark Milley, accused of having pushed him to intervene militarily. . He is heard turning the pages of those plans, showing them off, knowing they are classified.

“He said I wanted to attack Iran,” says Donald Trump. “Look, it was him. He introduced me to this. It’s confidential, it’s secret. It’s secret information, look at this. As president, I could have declassified them and now I can’t… This it’s so cool'”.

The existence of this recording was known, but had not yet been made public. It contradicts two elements of Donald Trump’s defense. First, that he was never in possession of any secret documents, and second, that he had the power to declassify them simply by taking them away. This document is an integral part of the Justice Department’s indictment in the most serious charges against Donald Trump to date.
