This in a context in which businessmen have pointed out the lack of certainty for investments due to the judicial reform, which is why many projects are on hold. Coparmex said that they have identified at least 35,000 million dollars of investments in stand by and others that have already gone to other destinations such as Texas.
Ebrard indicated that this will be the first binational business event under Sheinbaum’s mandate, in which 45 large companies will be present, 30 that are already in Mexico and 15 that would be announcing investments or their entry into the country in 2025.
“The speculation that investments will be cancelled is not what I am seeing, it is not the official information, because we already knew that, that does not exist. What exists is interest in coming on October 15, being here in Mexico and meeting the president,” said Ebrard after a meeting with Sheinbaum.
He assured that the announced investments in Mexico are still in place and there will be more.
The CEO Dialogue will feature the Global Business Council and the American Chamber.
The CEO Dialogue was created in 2013 by the Business Coordinating Council (CCE) and the United States Chamber of Commerce, as the main mechanism for high-level institutional interaction between businesspeople from both countries.
This document generates joint public policy recommendations for both governments and seeks to create synergies that strengthen the bilateral relationship, support development, and boost investment and competitiveness in the North American region.
On October 15th, the CEO Dialogue (Annual High-Level Dialogue between US and Mexican companies) will be held with the attendance of the President of Mexico, Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo. It will be a success, there is a huge interest from US companies in our country!!
