Clashes between organized crime leaves several injured in Ecuador

() — The Ecuadorian Police reported this Thursday through its verified Twitter account that there have been strong clashes in the province of Guayas, in the El Triunfo area, which have left several injured.

So far the police have not said if there are deaths after these clashes.

The police added that these armed confrontations have been between organized crime and, for this reason, several tactical units have been mobilized to maintain order and security.

The police indicated that the injured were transferred to health homes and the identity of the victims is being confirmed.

Similarly, the National Comprehensive Care Service for Adults Deprived of Liberty and Adolescent Offenders reported that it has activated protocols in all prisons through the Crisis Committee, in coordination with the security cabinet, in order to protect the tranquility and control of the Centers.
