Citizen Income will begin serving 544,108 homes, This figure will be progressively expanded until reaching 2.8 million and covering all lines of intervention. In total, the program is made up of four lines: care assessment, Colombia without hunger, capacity building and emergency care.
The first list of beneficiaries was published at the beginning of March and corresponds to the first category. That is, it is made up mostly of those Colombians classified as living in extreme poverty, group A of Sisbén IV, such as fathers and mothers who are heads of households with children under six years of age.

When will the other lists be updated?
As explained by the DPS, throughout the first half of the year The program is expected to integrate the rest of the households in extreme poverty.
It must be taken into account that Social Prosperity does not open a call for registration, but rather, based on the information from the Social Registry of Households, Sisbén IV, the National Registry of Civil Status and the Ministry of the Interior, it defines who the potential beneficiaries.
“We carried out a database purification process that, finally, gives us this first list of 544,108 homes. They are only the first because the goal of the National Government is to continue rapidly expanding the Citizen Income program until reaching, in the second half of 2024, all households in extreme poverty”, said Gustavo Bolívar, director of the entity.
It should be noted that The first payment of Citizen Income will be made under the modality that the Colombia Mayor program has: Beneficiaries will be able to go to a money transfer point and claim the money by presenting their identity document.
