According to Cisco figures, Peru is the country that has had the most students in its program, with 1,557,865, due to its relationship with the Ministry of Education, since they have worked on courses for basic education levels. Mexico is the second country in this statistic, with 774,074, and in third place is Brazil, with 532,277 students.
Latin America also concentrates 25% of the total number of students in the world. “We are one of the regions with the most students, but with many needs, and this is a commitment to reach more people who want to reconvert their professional life or are outside the educational system and require these opportunities that are transversal to the different work areas,” comments Rebeca de la Vega.
Just last year, the program registered 800,000 students and according to company data, 97% of them attribute to the program having obtained a job or educational opportunity.
Federico Ortiz, manager of the Cisco Networking Academy in Mexico, mentioned that the contents remain current and have expanded their portfolio in different knowledge routes, among which cybersecurity and the Internet of Things stand out.
