The Interactive Center for Sciences, Arts and Technologies (Cicat) of the University of Concepción (UdeC) presented its offer of workshops and activities for the winter holidays. I see I see… what do you see?: Build your 3D glasses; CICAT rocket: Overcoming gravity; Mini Lander: A round trip; Concentrates: The magic of the sea; Star Clock: The Shadow of Time; Glaciers: Witnesses of time, and Vibra animal: My funny pet, are some of the activities that are available for children and adolescents to enjoy science.

The new sample recounts the oceanographic expedition of researchers belonging to the Millennium Institute of Oceanography (IMO), carried out in recent years. In this way, the IMOin collaboration with Cicat, inaugurated this exhibition so that everyone can learn a little more about the depths of our ocean.
This exhibition intends that the visitors travel through an immersive experience, simulating being at more than 8 thousand meters of ocean depth, where they can discover the strange and unknown organisms that inhabit this inhospitable ecosystem. Likewise, the objective is to report on the morphology, properties and characteristics of these hadal areas. These scientific missions aimed to study and explore the deep ocean, especially the ecosystem of the Atacama Trench, the largest on the planet.
Atacamex was a project awarded within the framework of the competition Public Science of the Ministry of Science, Technology, Knowledge and Innovation, sponsored by Terra GIS and the Fundación Ciencia y Vida.
