() — People magazine just crowned actor Chris Evans this year’s Sexiest Man Alive.
The announcement was made on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” with the help of John Oliver and Dwayne Johnson.

During the ProgramOliver sat in the audience as Colbert announced the winner between two finalists: Oliver himself and Evans, whom Colbert called an “incandescent supernova of sexiness”.
When Evans’ name was announced, an upset Oliver prompted booing from the audience and stormed off, demanding a “head count” on his way out.
The former “Captain America” star, who was unable to appear on the show, was congratulated by Johnson on the set of his film, “RedOne”.
“It means a lot coming from a former Sexiest Man Alive,” Evans tells Johnson in the video.
However, Johnson, the cover star of 2016’s Sexiest Man, corrected him: “I never relinquish the title… I am the Sexiest Man Alive in perpetuity, which means for life.”
A confused Evans tried to get clarification, but Johnson stopped him.
“Let me ask you a question, brother. Am I alive?… Am I still sexy? You can bet your sexy mouth I am. We are sharing it!”
Evans agrees, and the two sexiest men in the world apparently live happily ever after. But not before Johnson goads his co-star into saying something “sexy” to the camera and Evans does.
“Go vote tomorrow.”
Evans succeeds his Marvel colleague Paul Rudd in the title of sexiest.
