The evaluation criteria for obtaining this scholarship are focused on the academic performance of the students. Applications are already open.
Miguel Negrón, Journalist.- These are 12 study scholarships that will be awarded Chinquihue Foundation to those students who have graduated from high school during the year 2022 and who in the current year will begin or have already begun their higher studies.
Additionally, those who are studying higher education and have not yet graduated, or are not in possession of a degree, whether technical or professional, may also apply. Applications are already open.
The benefit is directed exclusively to sons and daughters of artisanal fishermen in the Los Lagos region. The amount of the scholarship amounts to 12 UF per year, which will be paid in two installments of 6 UF for each semester, amount that each of the beneficiaries will receive for a period of one year.
The 12 scholarships will be distributed in three different groups, with four students favored by each of these groups.
The first of these contemplates those who have high school graduate during the year 2022, who present the best average grades from 1st to 4th grade and who are enrolled in higher education for the first time this year.
The second group of beneficiaries will be made up of those higher education students who are studying technical careers of up to six semesters in technical training centers, institutes or universities, and who present the best grade point average of the 2022 academic year.
The third group of beneficiaries will correspond to those students who are already part of higher education, either pursuing professional careers in institutes or universitiesand who present the best grade point average of the 2022 academic year.

Applications may be submitted until 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 28 in offices of the Chinquihue Foundation, located on the way to Chinquihue, kilometer 12, Puerto Montt commune. They may also be sent by email to becas@fundacionchinquihue.cl, until 11:59 p.m. that same Friday.
The results will be published on the site Web of the Chinquihue Foundation, www.fundacionchinquihue.cl, on Wednesday may 31.
