Chinese Premier to Attend Summer Davos Forum and Leaders Meet to Boost Collaboration

Chinese Premier Li Qiang will attend the 14th Annual Meeting of the New Champions, also known as the Summer Davos Forum, to be held in Tianjin on June 27, the official website of the World Economic Forum reported on Tuesday. (FEM).

Premier Li will participate in the opening ceremony, deliver a keynote address and meet with foreign dignitaries including WEF CEO Klaus Schwab and other world business leaders.

The meeting will renew the drive for innovation and entrepreneurship to fuel growth and a more equitable, sustainable and resilient global economy.

“At this crucial time for economic recovery, the world shares challenges that are best addressed through innovation, dialogue and cooperation,” Schwab said.

Gao Jian, deputy director-general of the International Cooperation Department of the National Development and Reform Commission, said the forum provides a platform for dialogue for political and business leaders, adding that it will help participants better understand China’s economic performance, high-level opening and strengthen confidence in long-term investment in China.

Yang Bing, Vice Mayor of Tianjin Municipality, illustrated that they intend to make the annual event an important platform, deepening both domestic and international dialogue and cooperation, and raising awareness of Tianjin.

Xi Jinping urges measures to stabilize and improve China-US relations.

In the forum, more than 25 initiatives will be launched or promoted, which will serve as a platform for continuous collaboration. The event will also highlight more than 100 entrepreneurs from its Innovative communities.
