Sep. 17 (EUROPA PRESS) –
Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan will attend the state funeral for Queen Elizabeth II in London on Monday, according to a statement from the Foreign Ministry.
Some 2,000 people will attend the mass in Westminster Abbey and the United Kingdom expects to receive half a thousand international leaders. On behalf of Spain, Kings Felipe and Letizia will attend, while other leaders such as the American Joe Biden and the French Emmanuel Macron have already confirmed their attendance.
The British Government has not invited Russia, Belarus, Burma, Afghanistan, Venezuela and Syria, due to political reasons. Other countries like Iran or North Korea will be able to send someone, but at the Embassy level.
