The Government of China has evacuated several groups of citizens from Lebanon due to the escalation of the conflict in this country and throughout the Middle East, with two coordinated operations by sea and land that are part of the growing international mobilization to facilitate this type of exits. .
In the first group, 69 Chinese citizens and eleven of their relatives, of foreign nationality, were evacuated by sea to Cyprus. Likewise, a second group of 146 Chinese and five foreigners arrived in Beijing this Tuesday on a charter flight chartered by Air China, according to the Asian giant’s official media, which affirm that with both operations all those people who they have wanted.
For his part, the president of South Korea, Yoon Yuk Yeol, has led an emergency meeting from which the commitment to evacuate all citizens in the Middle East has also emerged, with the “immediate” dispatch of military aircraft. In Israel there are about 480 South Korean citizens, while in Lebanon there are 130 and in Iran around 110, reports the Yonhap agency.
Yoon has also ordered specific monitoring of the risks that the current escalation of tensions may have for the South Korean economy. “The security of the Middle East is directly related to the global price of oil and also affects our energy supply,” he alleged.
