Beijing criticizes the “unfair” and “ideological” inclusion of Chinese companies in the latest Washington ‘blacklist’
March 3 (EUROPA PRESS) –
China has once again rejected this Friday the accusations coming from the United States about the possibility of delivering weapons to Russia, remarking that it is Washington that has been “throwing” lethal weapons on the battlefield since the start of the war, from the which has recently turned one year old.
“We have made our position clear several times in recent days. We are committed to promoting peace talks and working for a political solution to the crisis,” Mao Ning, spokeswoman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stressed again.
“The United States has been dropping lethal weapons on the battlefield in Ukraine and increasing tensions, while spreading false accusations against China,” the spokeswoman denounced at a press conference.
“We do not accept coercion or pressure from the United States. What they should do is facilitate de-escalation and promote peace talks instead of fanning the flame or pointing fingers at other countries,” he remarked.
This Thursday, the spokesman for the National Security Council of the United States, John Kirby, once again sowed rumors that China could send weapons to Russia by assuring that in Beijing they would be undecided about it, since said possibility had not yet been “withdrawn from the table”.
In another order of things, Mao has criticized the “unfair” and “ideological” inclusion of several Chinese companies in the “black list” of the US Department of Commerce, including the biotechnology company BGI and the computer science Inspur.
“We call on the United States to abandon ideological bias, stop repressing Chinese companies under false pretenses, and provide them with open, fair, and non-discriminatory treatment,” the spokeswoman said.
“China’s efforts and achievements in scientific and technological innovation are for all to see. China’s scientific and technological progress contributes to global technological advancement. We are committed to cooperating with all countries and sharing the benefits of development with others of the world,” he said.
“We oppose hegemonism in science (…) We believe that the ultimate purpose of technological advance is to serve the interests of all humanity. Politicizing scientific and technological issues, using them as weapons of ideological confrontation and patching up cliques harms interests all over the world,” he stressed.
