The Chinese authorities have attributed this Thursday the “Ukrainian crisis” to the “contradictions” when it comes to managing security in Europe and have once again stressed that the war in Ukraine “could have been avoided”.
The spokeswoman for the Asian giant’s Foreign Ministry, Mao Ning, has asserted that “the essence of the Ukrainian crisis lies in the great contractions of this administration”, although she has expressed that it is a “tragedy”.
Thus, he has affirmed that the fact that this “ended in its current state” is a “painful lesson that requires deep reflection”, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“China stands ready to continue playing a constructive role together with the international community to contribute to a political resolution of the crisis,” he said.
At the end of last February, the Chinese government formulated a series of key points to achieve a political solution to the invasion of Ukraine, among which are “respect the sovereignty of all countries, abandon the Cold War mentality , cease hostilities, resume peace talks, resolve the humanitarian crisis and protect civilians and prisoners of war, among other issues.
